Milan traveling guide help please?
Bose asked:
Hello, I am going to Italy/Milan for 2 weeks on January 8th. I am on a tight budget, and would like to ask some help from people who has lived or visited Milan.
I want to know how much are the subway fares or a daily metro pass. I also need to know average price of foods in supermarkets.
I am a model, and wont have much time on cooking my own food, so I am looking at cheap fast food, tuna fish in cans and so on..
Please help me out and let me know how much money will little necessary things cost. Such as food, transportation, entertainment, what can I see around the city as a tourist and so on..
Much help will be appreciated

I think It’ s not a good destination for your vacation, last week a terroristic attack hit Mr Beluscioni (the president of the Italian republic) and it’ s sure it’ s not a good place for a turist, except the sun, naturally Italy is a sunny country.
A public transports tickets costs 1 euro, allows traveling for 75 minutes but only 1 subway ride.
A 24 hrs travel card costs 3 euro, two-day travelcard 5,5
A week travelcard costs 9 euro but you need to buy the chipcard (10 euro).
A special travelcard, often used by people who work in milan, costs 6.70 euro and counts as two “plain” tickets per day, six days in a week.
Food price varies about the type of market and city zone. discounts in the downtown are cheaper.
Milk is less than 1 euro/litre, bottled water about .15 euro/litre.
In average markets, a pack of well-known brand pasta (like Barilla) costs about 1,5 euro/kg, canned dressing about 2-3 euro per 4 people, and it’s the typical italian lazy singles meal
Several fast foods like McDo or BK, a McMenu costs about 6 euro. We have NO Strabucks or Pizza Hut.
Many people have “happy hour” in pubs around 19-20 hrs, a pre-dinner with a drink and free buffet that - in fact - substitutes dinner for 7-10 euro. A pint in a pub is about 5 euro, a cocktail at least 7.
A pizza delivered at home costs 5-7 euro depending on the dressing.
A pizza with a beer and coffee, seated in a restourant, costs about 14-15 euro. A japanese style dinner at least 20-25+.
Taxis are horribly expensive, at least 12-15 euro for ridiculous trips.
