you are going to have a blast. milano is a fabulous city, full of culture and history. learn some basic italian phrases and bring a translation book to help you out. eat at the local restaurants and cafes, not at the touristy places. you’ll have fun meeting the locals that way. bring warm clothes because it gets pretty cold there. sunglasses are also a must. don’t wear bright white tennis shoes-tennis shoes with colors are more popular. always look nice because italians [generally] never go out unless they look good, and by good i mean dressy-casual, especially in milano. if you’re a girl, boots, heels, and dressy flats are very popular. if you’re a guy, dress shoes/fancier tennis shoes are generally warn, and men also usually carry messenger bags. have fun!
