My husband and I wish to travel to the North of Italy and need assistance in planning this?
Marcelle C asked:
We would really like to visit Milan,Florence,Lake Como & Santa Margheria, any suggestions on how we can do this simply by staying at one central point and doing day trips by train or bus. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
We will also travel down to Rome for 3 days then onto the south of Italy on a Mini Tour to Naples,Sorrento,Pompoeii and Capri. Hope to hear from someone soon.
Regards

Italy - Verona/Venice/Milan?
Kayla asked:
I hope I don’t offend any Italians with my question, but I’m wondering if these places are okay for a single woman to travel to? Are there any bad areas to avoid?
I happen to be in this area and I’m planning to visit these cities as I’m flying to Italy via Milan but returning via Venice. Any other interesting places I shouldn’t miss that’s within 2-3 hours travel?

I am going to Italy in Oct. for 2 wks. Is a tour or independent travel better? Are France and Amsterdam too mu
marla153 asked:
We want to go to Italy in Oct for 2 wks. We want to go to Rome, Venice, and Florence. I would also like to go to Milan because I am into fashion, but I was told it is not that nice. Should I skip it? The main thing we need to know if a group tour is better or if we should travel independently. We want to have some time to ourselves. Has anyone taken these tours, and how are they? We were thinking of Globus or Brendan tours. We would also like to travel to France and Amsterdam. Is this too much in 2 wks? Any suggestions for how we should travel, or what is a must see. We want to see a bit of everything. Also, what kind of clothes should I bring for October? Thank you everyone….

I’m traveling to Italy in early November what should I anticipate as far as the weather?
Chad asked:
I wanted to try to avoid the tourist season and heard that early November is the start of the “off season”. I was planning on going to Rome, Pisa, Florence, Milan, and Venice. As far as rain is it an every day kind of thing? Whats the temperature like? Thanks!

Going to Milan, Italy for a week?
MG asked:
I’m going to Milan for 7 days and was wondering if we should plan on spending multiple days in Milan or just a few and travel to surrounding areas the other days. We were thinking of taking day trips to places like Cinque Terre, Lake Como, Florence, Valle d’Aosta, Mantua and Verona. Would 2 days in Milan and all the other days in other cities be worth it or should we focus on Milan for more days?
